This year really flew by! In these challenging times it seems that not one deal was "easy".
My toughest deal this year began with a listing taken in December 06. ( House A). The buyer for house A has a house to sell which isn't yet on the market.. so I take this listing ( house B).
The buyers for house B eventually come along and THEY have a house to sell as well ( House C).
House C couldn't close on time due to installation of a septic system. This was entirely and utterly the most stressful deal this year.
Then there was the buyer for House C,
To sum it up.. there were 4 "dominos" involved in this one. What a whirlwind!
For 2 whole months the Seller A called me at least 3 times daily until closing ( he was non-contingent and closed on his new house- carrying 2 mortgages- extreme stress here.)
Seller B was also operating on high emotion.
I had to be the "all is well" girl.. using phrases like.. don't worry, it will all work out.., life's too short, its just houses, my pleasure, try not to loose sleep, etc.. etc..
If they only knew about the prayers, and emotions going on inside of me. My poor husband had to hear about it everyday until closing. He swore he would never do what I do for a living...( Ironically, he's taking Real Estate Classes this month and will be licensed next month..lol!)
All worked out well, and could have been much worse. When everyone closed, and were in their new homes, all was really well. I met some wonderful people here and truly feel like I am part of their families.
