Why should I trust you?

Sometimes we as Real Estate professionals wonder why the general public doesn't trust us or our profession.

They think we are dishonest, disloyal etc... it sometimes takes a lot of time to build a relationship with our potential prospects

Sad part of how the public percieves us is that in some cases they are right. Some have dealt with dishonest people in our profession. Some have had bad experiences with other agents and as a result they think we are all alike without having met us. This is disturbing to me.

I know that I am not perfect, but really strive to professionalism and integrity.

I had a FSBO  seller say to me  once "I hate real estate agents". I asked him to talk about it some more. Long story short.. he gave me the listing.

If we all  just listen to people and care about their needs, be honest and professional at all times, this business of selling houses and our profession may dispel some myths about us by the general public.
